'Tis the season to be giving: Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber named as the top charitable celebrities of 2011
Of the worldwide celebrities that use their wealth and status to do good, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber have been named the most giving.
The pop stars' charitable acts have earned them the top two spots on DoSomething.org's annual Celebs Done Good list.
They are joined in the top three by The Descendants star George Clooney.

The 25-year-old has even set up the Born This Way Foundation to help empower schoolchildren.
She even attended a White House meeting on teen bullying earlier this month.

The youngest person on the list has been feted for his work with Pencils of Promise, and organisation which built 41 schools in Central America.
It was founded by Adam Braun, the brother of the Baby singer's manager, Scooter Braun.

He also performed for the students of Whitney Elementary School in Las Vegas; more than half of the attending students are homeless.
Clooney, 50, has been honoured as an advocate for the victims of the political turmoil in the Sudan.

International ladies man Leonardo Dicaprio, 37, has been honoured for promoting IFAW's Animal Action education programme.

Infamous do-gooders Brad Pitt, 48, and partner Angelina Jolie,36, have donated more than $300,000 to the Humanitarian Initiative Just Relief Aid in Somalia.
The teen voice: 19-year-old Demi Lovato has been honoured on DoSomething.org's list
Also making the cut for the most charitable celebrities of 2011 are: Shakira, divorcing couple Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am, country couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert and Mariah Carey's husband Nick Cannon.
Glee star Lea Michele, Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe, Miley Cyrus, the band Coldplay and Taylor Swift have also been named.
