We’ve already seen a few snapped from the bushes, but Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of officially looks like this…

Baz Luhrmann’s ability to serve up sumptuous visuals was never under question, and these first official glimpses of his The Great Gatsby adaptation show us why. Gorgeous cast, costumes and production design are Luhrmann’s trademarks (that, and camp musical choices – though we’re fairly confident there won’t be many of those here), so who better to put the glitz of the jazz age on the big
screen?

Two new images released from the 3D production show Gatsby and Daisy [DiCaprio and Mulligan] in an embrace, then it’s Nick [Tobey Maguire], Daisy, and Gatsby at a swanky twenties club. Perhaps it's just because we've grown used to his growly, jowly J.Edgar face, but it looks as if DiCaprio has been glugging down a few litres from the fountain of youth there, no?
