First Look at Josh Brolin and Sean Penn in Gangster Squad

Entertainment Weekly has revealed a first look at Josh Brolin and in the star-studded crime movie from Ruben Fleischer, Gangster Squad...
Upcoming crime movie Gangster Squad has a very exciting cast, and a recent image from EW has revealed Josh Brolin and Sean Penn in full gangster-garb for the film.
As well as these two fabulous actors, the film features , , Anthony Mackie, Nick Nolte, Michael Pena and Giovanni Ribisi, with Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, 30 Minutes or Less) directing.
It’s certainly bigger in size and scale than the director
has tackled before, and it’s been a while since we’ve had a truly brilliant ‘40s period piece from anyone other than Michael Mann or Martin Scorsese.
The film is based on a series of L.A. Times articles picked up by Warner Bros, who then hired Will Beall to adapt them into a film-shaped narrative.  The articles focused on a L.A.P.D. unit whose job it was to fight the growing influence of the East Coast Mafia.
Infamous gangster Mickey Cohen was a huge element of the opposing side, and will be portrayed by Sean Penn in Gangster Squad. Gosling and Brolin are the two cops who are after him.

I was an exchange student and lived in Ningbo for several months. So, I learned plenty of things. Even though, I bring with me positive memories, I also carry some downsides. China is a very complex country. It’s like going on a boat on a peacuful river and occasionaly having to dodge the obstacles in your way. Sometimes it’s just a rock and sometimes it’s a big current. Along with this metaphore, I have an interesting story that happened in Guillin. We were riding it’s famous river, going along the water in a bambu boat. When suddenly, another boat came too close to us. The driver dodge the boat but one of our chairs, fell in the water. It was very poetic to observe how the chair was submerging into the water bit by bit, and we could not do much about, as the current of the river moved us forward.
