J.C Chandor’s next move after finance drama Margin Call is to be ‘man vs. nature’ flick, All Is Lost, and he’s after for the lead
“A man vs. nature drama that takes place on the water” is director J.C. Chandor’s next project after making his directorial debut with financial crisis drama Margin Call. Set to have a single character focus and using Redford’s 1970s mountain man survivalist flick, Jeremiah Johnson as a touchstone, it looks as if the cheerily-titled All Is Lost will be a gruelling experience for its lead.
Actor-turned-director , currently filming thriller, The Company You Keep, is in late-stage talks to play that lead according to Deadline. At this stage in his career, surely the warmth and comfort of watching rushes and sitting behind the camera is preferable to braving the elements in a survival pic?
Margin Call comes out on Friday the 13th of January. The Company You Keep, directed by Redford is pencilled in for an October release date.
