Leonardo DiCaprio in Clint Eastwood Hoover Movie

Deadline reports that Leonardo DiCaprio will play J. Edgar Hoover in an upcoming movie to be directed by Clint Eastwood. The project will be based on a script by Dustin Lance Black, who won an Oscar a couple of years back for writing Milk starring Sean Penn.

The project started at Universal Pictures with Brian Grazer producing. But after negative reaction to the script at Universal, Grazer took it to Eastwood whose Malpaso Productions has a relationship at Warner Bros., where the project is now being fast tracked.

DiCaprio stars this summer in Inception for director Christopher Nolan.
