Biography: Leonardo DiCaprio, birth name: Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio, born on November 11, 1974, height: 5 ft 11 (180 cm), Zodiac Sign: Scorpio. Leonardo gained worldwide fame for his role as Jack Dawson in Titanic in 1997.

Leonardo has starred in many other successful films including Romeo + Juliet (1996), Catch Me If You Can (2002), and Blood Diamond (2006). He has starred in many of Martin Scorsese’s films, including Gangs of New York (2002), The Aviator (2004), and The Departed (2006), causing people to compare this relationship to that from which actor Robert De Niro benefited early in his career.

Leonardo was born in Los Angeles, California, the only child of Irmalin a former legal secretary, and George DiCaprio, an underground comic artist and producer/distributor of comic books. He was named after artist Leonardo da Vinci, as his pregnant mother was standing in front of a Da Vinci painting at a museum in Italy when DiCaprio first kicked. How funny!
A committed environmentalist, DiCaprio opting to fly on commercial flights instead of chartering private jets, which use more fuel. He has also mentioned that he drives a hybrid car and that his house has solar panels. His actions have inspired other celebrities namely Orlando Bloom and Penelope Cruz.

I was an exchange student and lived in Ningbo for several months. So, I learned plenty of things. Even though, I bring with me positive memories, I also carry some downsides. China is a very complex country. It’s like going on a boat on a peacuful river and occasionaly having to dodge the obstacles in your way. Sometimes it’s just a rock and sometimes it’s a big current. Along with this metaphore, I have an interesting story that happened in Guillin. We were riding it’s famous river, going along the water in a bambu boat. When suddenly, another boat came too close to us. The driver dodge the boat but one of our chairs, fell in the water. It was very poetic to observe how the chair was submerging into the water bit by bit, and we could not do much about, as the current of the river moved us forward.
