Beatles fanatics can now own a piece of the late John Lennon

 

Beatles fanatics can now own a piece of the late John Lennon. Literally.

Lennon’s tooth is set to be auctioned off in the U.K. on Nov. 5 via Omega Auctions, which specializes in music, TV and film memorabilia. According to the BBC, the tooth in question was a keepsake given by Lennon to his housekeeper, Dot Jarlett, while she was working at his Kenwood mansion in the late 1960s.
 

 “He was in the kitchen and he had this tooth which he had wrapped in a piece of paper,” said Dot’s son, Barry Jarlett. “He said: ‘Dot will you dispose of this’ and then he said: ‘Or, as your daughter’s a Beatles fan, you can give to her as a souvenir.’”
“It is something that we felt was very personal and my mum actually gave it to my sister who has kept it safe,” he added. 
The memento is expected to earn nearly $16,000, but could potentially reach six figures.
“This is the most wonderful and weird item that we have ever had for sale,” said Omega’s Karen Fairweather. “It is a truly unique item and it is really difficult to put a value on it.”
